Empty Nests and Flying Lessons

The time has come... the babies are flying the nest. First one stepped out...

Followed by another.

These two must be the first two eggs, who hatched a few days ahead of the third. The third baby (quite wisely, I thought) stayed in the nest.

Whatever. Go without me, I'm fine.

The older babies got straight into the important business of flying...

Quick lesson from mum or dad on the neighbour's back window

... the all-important business of staring out across their new domain - the neighbour's backyard...

... and hanging out where all the cool kids go: the neighbour's clothesline.

Only one problem now.

Empty nest syndrome. : (
